Beatrice Caffrey Youth Service (BCYS) is a Private Not-for-Profit Agency, Licensed by the
Department of Children and Family Services and Accredited by The Council on Accreditation.
Mission Statement
Beatrice Caffrey Youth Service is organized to develop and implement programs in child
welfare, delinquency prevention, community education and family advocacy that will enhance
the functioning and improve the quality of life of urban children and their families and move
them towards independence.
BCYS is currently accepting applications for qualified, caring individuals to join us in providing
quality services to our clients in the following areas:
Residential Advisor - TLP
Residential Advisors are responsible for ensuring that all residents (ages 17-21) are safe and
adhering to the rules and regulations of the program. Duties include but are not limited to
providing life skills, assisting with career planning, assisting with meal preparation, assisting
with budgeting and preparing for emancipation. Associates Degree in Social Work, Counseling
or Human Service. Two years experience, valid Illinois/Indiana Drivers License with an
excellent driving record, auto insurance and skills for relationship building with residents.
Must be in good physical condition.
Case Manager - Foster Care
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. 2-3 yrs experience. DCFS Licensure & SACWIS
experience required. Valid Illinois/Indiana Driver's License with excellent driving record and
auto insurance. Must be in good physical condition.
House Leader - TLP
Candidates are required to be at least 23 years of age with a Bachelor Degree in the field of
Social Work, Counseling, or Human Service. 3 years of experience is required. Candidates are
required to have a vehicle with an excellent driving record, valid Illinois/Indiana Driver’s
License and auto insurance. Candidates must have a Child Welfare License, SACWIS
experience, and experience working with older DCFS Wards. Candidates must possess the
ability to be patient, show initiative, good judgment, work independently in a team
environment, excellent communication skills and relationship building with residents between
the ages of 17 to 21. Must be in good physical condition.
